About the Role

As a Field Application Engineer (FAE) at FuriosaAI, you will serve as a technical bridge between our customers and internal engineering teams, providing in-depth support for hardware and software challenges. You will assist customers in navigating technical hurdles related to our AI processors, with a specific focus on Linux and PCIe-based NPU systems. This role is ideal for candidates eager to learn, adapt proactively, and contribute to the success of cutting-edge AI technologies.

The FAE position involves close collaboration with global customers, requiring effective communication in English and a willingness to travel internationally. Candidates with a background in fabless semiconductor companies or server manufacturers (ODM/OEM), particularly in test engineering roles, are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues in AI hardware and software systems.
• Offer technical guidance on integrating FuriosaAI's AI processors into customers' systems, including support for PCIe and Linux environments.
• Execute product testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Channel feedback from customers to improve product quality and user experience.
• Lead technical training and support for customers during and after product deployment.
• Represent FuriosaAI's solutions at technical meetings, trade shows, and other industry events.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Foundational understanding of computer architecture and electronic systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and clarify customer requirements.
• Proactive attitude and the capacity to quickly master new technologies.
• Readiness to travel internationally for customer support.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working as an FAE in a fabless semiconductor company or as a test engineer in a server manufacturing environment (ODM/OEM).
• Hands-on experience debugging hardware issues and working with PCIe devices.
• Familiarity with server architecture and system-level testing.
• Solid grasp of Linux and PCIe fundamentals.
• Technical proficiency in the Linux virtualization stack, including KVM, QEMU, and Libvirt.
• Practical experience in deploying and managing cloud infrastructure using OpenStack, particularly with Nova PCI Passthrough.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C, or C++.
• English fluency for effective communication with global customers and teams.
